Places: Fleece Hotel Central Wigan

The Fleece Hotel in Central Wigan was run by Evan Mawdsley from 1883 to 1907 (including a brief period between 1905 and 1907 where his son Evan Mawdsley is the licensee). The pub/hotel had entrances at 2 and/or 7 Market Street Central Wigan and also onto Market Place Central Wigan.

The pub no longer exists but the buildings around it still do.

This is the Market Place area from the 1890 map.

This is entrance to Fleece Hotel on Market Place around 1900.

This looks like a different entrance around the same time, maybe from Market Street/Hallgate
