10th March 1921 Francis born in 8 Stanford Road Croydon to Evan and Ellen Mawdsley, Evan is an Accountant.
1939 Francis moves to Nether Stowey Somerset with his mother Ellen, probably because of impending war.
29th September 1939 Register. Francis is aged aged 18 an Articled Pupil to Local Authority Engineer living with his mother Ellen at Redesdale Lime Street Nether Stowey Somerset.
18th December 1943 Francis and Barbara married at Parish Church Bridgwater Somerset. Francis is aged 22 serving in Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve living at Redesdale Nether Stowey and Barbara is aged 23 serving in Womens Royal Naval Service as a driver, living in 119 Taunton Road Bridgwater Somerset. Witnesses include Evan Mawdsley (Francis’s brother or his father?) and Ellen Mawdsley (Francis’s mother?).

27th November 1964 Francis and Margaret married at Bridgwater Register Office. Francis is aged 43 a Chartered Surveyor living at Gothelney Cottage Charlynch Bridgwater and Margaret is aged 31 a Secretary at a Timber Merchants living an 24 Holford Road Bridgwater. One is witnesses is an Evan Mawdsley who could be Francis’s brother Evan or Francis’s father Evan (87 at the time). 1966 Daughter born in a nursing home in Bridgwater. Francis and Margaret are living at Gothelney Cottage Charlynch Bridgwater.
1968 Son born in a maternity unit in Taunton. Francis and Margaret are living at Gothelney Cottage Charlynch Bridgwater.
26th February 1969 Francis dies aged 47 of Carcinomatosis at Bridgwater Hospital. He was a Chartered Surveyor living at Gothelney Cottage Charlynch Bridgwater. Informant was Margaret’s father.
10th November 1980 Barbara dies aged 60. She never re-married.
6th December 2011 Margaret dies aged 78 at Musgrove Park Hospital Taunton of Lung Cancer. She was a retired Office Manager living at 3 Timberscombe Way Bridgwater. She had re-married to a Bernard Bratt an Electrical Company Owner who had pre-deceased her. Informant was her daughter who was present at the death.
