Overview
Virtually all of the ancestors originated from south central Lancashire, between Liverpool and Manchester, initially from the then rural districts of Skelmersdale and Upholland on the Barton side, and from Windle St Helens and Garswood on the Heaton side. Later generations migrated to the major towns of Wigan and St Helens, and the smaller towns of Ashton In Makerfield, Hindley etc.
