Wigan Infirmary (or correctly Royal Albert Edward Infirmary) is the main general purpose hospital for Wigan.
The facility originated as the Wigan Dispensary in King Street Central Wigan in 1796, moving to its current location in Swinley Wigan in 1873.
Many relatives died in Wigan Infirmary generally from after the First World War, before that most relatives died at home.
