New Jerusalem Church was located in Brookhouse Terrace Scholes Wigan and opened in 1893, incorporating an associated school. Several relations had ceremonies at the church. It is unclear what denomination “New Jerusalem” is but the name is linked to the Swedenborgian movement, see Biblical Training and Wikipedia.
Wigan Buildings shows a building across from the church on Warrington Lane but that seems to be a different school building unrelated to the church. See Arbor Familiae which confirms the church was on Brookhouse Terrace and identifies the Warrington Lane buildings as “Warrington Lane School” built in 1873. Also see this Wigan World thread which identifies the Warrington Lane buildings a New Jerusalem Church school.

The church is still standing but is no longer a church and has been the home of various enterprises and is currently empty at time of writing.
