In the Tithe Maps of 1840 Cabbage Hall is occupied by Thomas Littler who is the Father of John Littler. In the 1841 census John is the head aged 35 and his father Thomas is living with him aged 65. The property is owned by Sir John Gerard 12th Baronet of nearby Windle Hall (see Wikipedia and Geni).
