Places: Bleachworks Blackrod

Various ancestors living in Blackrod worked at a bleachworks. No information on this can be found.

In the 1848 map there is a Bleach Ground (where cloth was left out to bleach in the elements) between Blackrod and the Print Works.

In the 1894 the site of the Print Works is now occupied by one or two Bleach Works.

There was also a Huyton Bleachworks at Adlington which is north of Blackrod, see Rivington Pike.
