Descendants Table

In the various pages that detail the descendants of a family a table is included of all the descendants, excluding living people.

The table columns start with children and then progress to grandchildren, great grandchildren etc.

Each table cell represents a descendant (with any family) and has the following information

  • Type of cell
    • Root Family: the descendant established the Root Family
    • Ancestor Family: the descendant established an Ancestor Family, the ancestor family id is also given
    • Sibling Family: the descendant established a family with the family name but was not an ancestor, the sibling family id is also given
    • Sibling Children: children of a Sibling Family when the children are living
    • External Family: the descendant established a family with a different family name
    • External Children: children of an external family are beyond the scope of the family tree
    • Living Family: the descendant is part of a family that has members still living so is not documented
    • Died: the descendant died before reaching marriagable aged
    • Spinster: the descendant did not marry and was female
    • Bachelor: the descendant did not marry and was male
    • Incomplete: research into descendant has not been completed
  • Name of the descendant, with birth and death dates
  • Name of any spouses, with birth and death dates
  • Occupation of main breadwinner in the descendant’s family
  • Main Residence
  • Number of children
